New York, N.Y. 鈥� First held on March 1, 1972, National Pig Day was named to honor 鈥渢he ancient and venerable pig.鈥� In keeping with tradition, the Wildlife Conservation Society鈥檚 Central Park Zoo hosts a celebration that鈥檚 nothing to snort at. The zoo鈥檚 famous 鈥渟nort off鈥� and medal ceremony will take place between 11 and 11:30 a.m.; Ceremonial sweets鈥攑ig pies鈥攚ill be presented to the zoo鈥檚 popular pigs Otis and Oliver in celebration of their special day.

Snort Sports
11 鈥� 11:30 a.m.:听
Children can snort to a panel of pressure-free judges 鈥� our pigs! Don鈥檛 worry, a 鈥減ig whisperer鈥� will be on hand to translate to ensure there are no scandalous decisions. Snort-off and medal ceremony take place between 11am and 11:30am.

Pig Out!

Ceremonial sweets 鈥� Pig Pies 鈥� will be presented to Otis and Oliver in celebration of their special day.

The 菊花视频鈥檚 Central Park Zoo - Open every day of the year. 听Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $5 for children 3 to 12, and free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 10am 鈥� 5:30pm weekends, April through October, and 10am 鈥� 4:30pm daily, November through April.听Tickets are sold until one half-hour before closing.
